Description

From the New York Times bestselling author of the Mastered Series and the Blacktop Cowboys® Series, the first in a brand new contemporary romance series . . .

The Lund name is synonymous with wealth and power in Minneapolis–St. Paul.  But the four Lund siblings will each discover true love takes a course of its own. . . .

As the CFO of Lund Industries, Brady Lund is the poster child for responsibility. But eighty-hour work weeks leave him little time for a life. His brothers stage an intervention and drag him to a seedy nightclub . . . where he sees her: the buttoned-up blonde from the office who’s starred in his fantasies for months.

Lennox Greene is a woman with a rebellious past, which she conceals beneath her conservative clothes. She knows flirting with her boss during working hours is a bad idea. So when Brady shows up at her favorite dive bar and catches her cutting loose, she throws caution aside and dares him to do the same.

After sparks fly, Brady finds that keeping his hands off Lennox during office hours is harder than expected. Though she makes him feel alive for the first time in years, a part of him wonders if she’s just using him to get ahead. And Lennox must figure out whether Brady wants her for the accomplished woman she is—or the bad girl she was.

  • Another Awesome Book from Lorelei James!

Loved it! What You Need is a sweet romance that’s different from Lorelei James other series. Brady and Lennox are perfect together despite coming from completely different backgrounds. Brady is a nerd billionaire heir. While Lennox had a hard life growing up and turned into a rebel wild child. Aside from the sweet romance it also includes an intervention, some football, corporate politics and Brady’s mother, Selka. She cracked me up! All of Lorelei’s books have one constant element They all contain an awesome storyline that runs full circle for the main characters but hooks you in and leaves you wanting to know more about the peripheral characters and What You Need is no exception. I’m looking forward to the rest of the series.

A new genre but the same incredible writing! As with all of her books, this one does not disappoint. Lorelei James has the ability to paint a picture of all of her characters emotions, actions and reactions so the reader does not have to guess. Even though this is not as raw as her Rough Riders or Black Top Cowboys series, you are not left wondering or needing the extra romantic edge. I can't wait to see which sibling will get the next installment!

Lorelei James has been a favorite author of mine for quite some time. I was excited for this new genre from an author that I love so much. However I have a hard time giving this book 5 stars. I think it's just me. I don't know if it's because of character development, the pacing of the story, or my lack of being able to connect with the characters? Maybe I was expecting more steamy scenes?? I can't pinpoint it exactly. It is sweet and sexy at times. I love the dual POV. But I think I've just grown to loving her erotic series books. It's not bad...it's good enough for me to continue reading the series about the rest of the Lund boys!

This book is a little bit different for Lorelei. It doesn't deal with Cowboys, or martial arts...it's all alpha CEO. Lorelei worked her literary wonders in this book. It's an interesting twist between the CEO and a member of the staff. The two just feel so right together because of how she's worked the two together. You need to read this book.
  • Great story

I love the chemistry between Brady and Lennox. Lennox is not a shy simpering female waiting for her prince charming, heck no she is funny, smart, blunt, sassy, and her most endearing quality to me is that she strives to do her best for anything. I enjoyed reading about Brady and Lennox. Their relationship starts by Brady asking her to help him bring out the wild side in himself. The writing is engaging which keeps you highly entertained throughout the book. I highly recommend this book to anyone that hasn't read any books by Lorelei James.

I don't often read contemporary romance, but I've never been disappointed in one of Lorelei James' books, so I was more than willing to give this new series a try. What can I say? The woman can write. Interesting, relatable, multi-dimensional characters, excellent story, steamy love scenes, all in a refreshingly new setting. I really enjoyed Lennox and Brady--their story was sweet, funny, sexy, and emotional. I can't wait to see what Ms. James has in store for us next.

This is the first book in a new series and a shorter read than I have been used to from the author. With that being said I still really enjoyed Brady and Lennox. I love how I've never been to this part of the midwest but I feel like I get to experience it when I am reading the book. I love the details about the local culture, food, drinks and area that in all of Lorelei James' books. I also really enjoy the other members of the family you get to meet in this book. Looking forward to the rest of this series. A light easy fun read!
