    Another Lund man has stole my heart. This is a great friends to lovers story. What I loved about Jensen and Rowan is that they became friends first even though there was some clear attraction between them and then sparks just flew from there. During this time that they were growing their friendship they were getting to know each other without the pressure of dating and what dating entails. The way that they fell in love was more natural and beautiful. All of this happened even though Jensen had some clear rules on who he would absolutely not date and Rowan checked marked everyone of those boxes he still did not fight what was growing between them. This is just an example of rules being meant to be broken. Aside from Jensen and Rowan, I love the whole Lund clan. They are the family that I would love to have and then dread at the same time. This series is a truly remarkable contemporary romance series.

    I truly love Lorelei James writing. She has great character development and plot driven stories. I said it before and I'll say it again that I like her Rough Rider series the best! The I Need You series is great but I'm not "racing" through the books-maybe that's a good thing??!! I just don't know what it is...maybe it's me. In this series I feel like the last few chapters are rushed. I love how she writes family dynamics with layered personality characters and witty dialogue. I like how she includes other family members so we can "check up" on them. I really hope that she writes Dallas's story!

    Jenson and Rowan are so fun. Both have rules about dating so they become friends. This friendship develops into a romance that has a beautiful HEA. Jenson has realized he wants more out of life after his injury. Rowan has been burned before and with her son Calder, she is a beautiful momma bear. As they develop a friendship...then romance, seeing Jenson bond with Calder is amazing. Yes there is plenty of hot hot hot but there is also just a down to earth love story. It is my favorite of this series so far. I highly recommend this book and I also recommend the whole series. You just cannot go wrong with a Lorelei James book.

    Lorelei James scores another win with When I Need You. This is the 4th book in the Need You Series. Jensen “The Rocket” is coming back after an injury that sidelined him all of last season. Rowan is a single mother trying to do it all. Both have strict dating rules but sometimes rules need to be broken in order to get a happy ending. Or as mama Lund says “Rules,” she scoffed, “are made to be beaten.” lol When I Need You is a standalone book but I would highly recommend reading the entire series.

Rowan's son Calder is a cutie who grabs a piece of Jensen's heart too. Lorelei James doesn't fumble on her way to a touchdown in this latest book in the Need You series

    Not sure how she does it but MS James has written another winner. The dynamics between Jenson and Rowan were hot. Loved the interplay with puns and comebacks. Loved that Jenson was so open about things and situations that many would have pigeonholed him just because he was a football player. I liked how Jenson related to Calder and his interests. As everyone else, who doesn't love Selka? (We all kind of wish she was our mother). I would recommend this anyone who likes a good read.

    I cannot get enough of this series. I am in love with the Lund family. Jensen is the perfect book boyfriend. Rowan is the leading lady I would love to be. I really enjoyed everything about this book. I hope there are more books in the series, or at least some kind of spin off. I definitely recommend reading this book and the whole series you're going to love it.

    I don't know if it's possible for me not to love a Lorelei James book. Even though this series takes us away from our beloved cowboys that we've grown to know and love, the strength in the writing, plot, and characters is renewed with the Lund family. We've met the CEO, the CFO, the woodsman with a man bun, a feisty sister and now the baby of the family, Jenson "The Rocket". A NFL superstar who is having to reevaluate his life after an injury that could potentially end his career. Enter a sassy single mom who has moved in across the hallway, and the fireworks from my kindle were explosive! "Logically I wanted her because I couldn’t have her. Rowan Michaels broke every single one of my dating rules. Every. Single. One. So it was a good thing we’d come to an agreement. Just friends. Nothing more." You won't regret your purchase or your time spent reading this one! I made myself slow down and still finished it in under a day, couldn't put it down.
