The Christmas Plan

What a way to wrap up a much-loved series! My very favorite trope, friends to lovers, is front and center when Gabe and Aspen spent the holiday season in his home town of Silver Bell Falls, before Aspen moves home to her family in San Diego. Having been in each other’s daily lives since college, either is happy about the big move, but they are also slow to make the changes and take the chances needed to keep Aspen on the east coast and the two of them together. Aspen is all about Christmas, romance and Hallmark movie themes, but Gabe is definitely less so. But he’s always willing to indulge Aspen in her obsessions and is her biggest cheerleader in regards to her chocolatier career. While Gabe willingly comes home to help on his family’s Christmas tree farm, he’s usually dry anxious to leave after the holidays. But seeing Aspen’s excitement in all things Silver Bell Falls, he’s starting to change his tune. The Christmas Plan is full of holiday joy, lots of favorite former couple cameos and funny Aspen and Gabe moments. As always, I was swept away on a sleigh ride of Christmas fun that I always expect and rely on from Samantha Chase. While this series may be over, I have a feeling that next year will bring just as much holiday hijinks from one of my most loved authors!

This is a great best friends to lovers holiday romance. A story of the love shared by friends turning into a real love shared by couples. It has conflicts, misunderstandings, truths and love. I was rooting for Gabe and Aspen the whole way through. These two were perfect for each other, it just took them a little time to realize it. The perfect holiday romance.
