    I liked the first two books so much, I finished them in 1.5 weeks. However, I have to admit that I almost gave up on this book because it wasn't until chapter 3 that it picked up. The first few chapters were over-the-top and I got tired of the silly banter and gooey scenes between the characters. This may sound harsh, but I am trying to be honest: I felt the author loved the characters so much that she was lost in their moments and forgot about moving us forward; that the characters took over the book for three long chapters. I also found myself wondering if the author had a different editor or if the editor(s) were being less critical as she progressed through the series. I didn't like all the lame Ali jokes on how powerful she is; didn't like or feel that Cole's long list of why he loves her was needed, realistic or interesting (I get that they are really into each other and felt like I was being force fed the info); and I didn't like the cool kid's table scene at the bar when they were trying to get a friend a date. I get the introduction of characters was needed, but...I already touched on why I didn't like it by describing what made the first three chapters difficult for me to read. I will still get the 4th book because the characters are interesting, the storyline is fabulous (despite my complaints) and the writing style has been great. I just really, really, really hope that the next book, or any others following this book, keep on track better because I would like to know I have found an author I can automatically buy future books from without reservation.

    OMG!!! I love this series more and more with every book. Alice and the slayers are ready for war. This isn't just another battle - only one will come out on top and both side will suffer along the way. This is really a non-stop action packed story that never calms down until it's all over. Zombies and Anima are back with a vengeance and some really imaginative tactics. Alice gets an unexpected blast from her past that really causes some problems - but may be the only way to solve the even bigger problems. Cole and Alice will have to face another landmine in their relationship that threatens to tear them apart. The snarky comments and attitudes are still present and they may be even bigger than they were before as we introduce a whole new slayer crew to stir up the existing dynamics. Warning: You just may cry - it's an emotional roller coaster that never stops. Also, this is a trilogy. Book three wraps up the story very well - but apparently others like myself just wanted more, so there is a fourth. But if you were looking forward to a good ending of the series - it does happen.

    I have the inability to cry over books, but the fact that this isn't a movie trilogy is a serious issue to cry over. May these books be forever remembered as apocalyptic + sexy. 😆

    Finished it , such an emotional roller coaster , I love cole & Ali ; this is the best series I have read , so very good . Best book ever , including the other 2 that's part of it !! I very much recommend this , you won't be dissapointed . C:

    I'm so sad its over , so sad about the people who died (not giving it away.) and i can't even😭😭😭😭😭 please please more my life is over if this is over i literarily can't process how good this book was. Also also also please MAKE A MOVIE PLEASE OR A TV SERIES I WILL DO ANYTHING.

    Okay. I absolutely love the whole series so much. I love Cole and would kill to live in the realm they live in. I definitely want the books but all in Coles P.O.V! Or just more books!!! I WANT A MOVIE!!!!! Or a TV series so it can live up to the book! I definitely cried! Please read
