Reviews

  • Overly Detailed, Repetitious & Emotionless

Liked the premise, with Scarpetta thrust into super high tech, the Russians and the wacky amoral couple at the center. But the tech and the travel were overly detailed and eventually became very boring. Cornwall was so repetitive with her entire plot and descriptions that I eventually skipped chunks of later chapters and still kept up with the storyline — because it was detailed for me again and again. Very disappointed at a book that should have been more exciting. Perhaps Scarpetta was too worn out by the Russians to deliver.

The story moves along with a few twists but I am tired of Carrie. She has to go

I haven’t read one of the series in years and now I remember why. Her stories and themes have become routine. Scarpitta’s fears to consistent with no growth. And the technologies she has faced in this one are too unbelievable at present, possible but not probable.
  • Another Thriller from Cornwall

Well paced and easy to read, but hard to put down. Another Cornwall thriller perhaps without as many of the suspense surprises we’ve become accustomed from her. Highly enjoyable. Well worth your time.
