OMG! This book! This amazing story!!! My emotions where all over the place. You are going to fall and hard for both of them, but specially Adrian. Adrian is so perfect, the perfect rockstar, hard worker and lover. And Lake, she is a powerful businesswoman and single mom of a wonderful girl (Noelle, is pretty special). I love how a ONS turns into so much more. Their story is so good, her insecurities and monsters from the past take a toll on their relationship but Adrian being the perfect man for her do everything to make her forget and love! And specially have fun together, until isn’t fun anymore and you heart is going to break like mine.In spite of everything time cure everything and their HEA is freaking fantastic. I love this story so so much! Highly recommended. I love how this story is interconnected with the Blood & Bone series and all their characters (and I mean, yes, Jack is here too!!!! I squeak like a high schooler girl lol). Amazing.

Story…”Beautiful Lies” is a great, no holds, raw story. It also was written with lovable characters. Lake was not ready when Adrian came into her life. There was a chance meeting, 2 strangers in the night. Fast forward and their paths cross again. Shocker! Their connection is obvious. This book touched me, how their story unfolded. Two unlikely people from 2 different worlds would come together. Their challenges became battles. Lake could not fathom truths from Adrian and told herself his lines were Beautiful Lies, until Adrian told her who was telling the lies. Ugh such a great and whole story! Their chemistry was HOT! Even better is no cliffhanger. I loved the fact Lake finally embraced herself at her stage in life and took a chance at love. By the way, this story is from her point of view only. Bonus was the description of the area of Tempe, AZ. I have never been there. The author describes it in detail the sunsets, mountains, and the weather. I can envision the beauty. Worth the read! If you have not guessed, it is an age gap romance.

Lake, who older than Adrian when they have eye contact in a taproom where Adrian is a singer in a band. This brings about a one-night stand according to Lake. They find out their families have ties. This brings about different situations which brings them back together and starts them finding love. A great read.

I’m not usually a big fan of reverse age gap but this is an exception. Lake Kennedy is a high powered executive who doesn’t have time for a man in her life. This guy is made of jagged edges, tattoos, ripped jeans, and definitely not age appropriate for me. Adrian is a musician trying to hit it big. There attraction is emendate and smoking hot. This kiss causes my body to come alive like the desert reacting to the rain. Step out of your same old and give this one a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Paula Dombrowiak’s OWYM age gap romance is every bit enticing and spicy, I was captivated from the first page to the very last! Adrian Corvin is every woman’s dream when it comes to that one moment, eye contact with the lead singer, at a performance who decides to take it further in the middle of a typhoon; aka fantasy come true! Of course, not without its setbacks in this grumpy-sunshine, one-night-stand escapade! ❤️‍🔥 “You can tell yourself all the beautiful lies you want.” Overall, this rating is for being inspirational, steamy, and easy to read. I found the characters to be relatable and interesting in this page-turning original love story. While the story is told from the main character’s perspective, I found myself wanting the dual point of view; Adrian’s thoughts and plans could have added another charged layer to this already intriguing storyline between an older woman and younger man. But I am hopeful to see updates of these two in future novels from interrelated characters and novels. I absolutely loved the guest characters and crossovers from the Blood and Bone series. If you have not read books by this talented author, or you have been a fan from the start like me, then you will not be disappointed with this amazing standalone romance story, which I highly recommend!
