Description

Pastor Kyle Idleman doesn’t just want to be a fan of Jesus, he wants to full heartedly commit to him and be a follower of Jesus. But how can you make the leap from fan to follower? In Not a Fan Idleman uses biblical examples to show how the people who met Jesus also had to decide if they were fans or followers, and what it meant for them to then become followers. Being a follower doesn’t mean that you go to church every week, that you slap a Jesus fish on the back of your car, and that you give to charity. That’s what a fan does. What a follower of Jesus does, Idleman observes, is die to themselves each and every moment of the day because “you can’t say yes to following Jesus unless you say no to living for yourself.” In this three part book Idleman helps you to discover whether you are a fan or a follower, how to recognize the invitation Jesus has given, and what following Jesus looks like in your daily life. With humor and real life examples to draw you closer to Jesus, Kyle Idleman compels each and every one of us to Not Be A Fan

I love the book but was charged for the complete book and got an old version they didn’t send the newest version. It’s supposed to be 15 chapters but there’s only 14.

I read this book as a part of a small group at my church. It is powerful, relevant and beautifully written. The scriptures, reflection questions and real-life illustrations convicted me to become more of a follower and less of a fan. Thank you!

This author really doesn't hold back the truth. Don't read this book and less you are willing to take a critical look at yourself. The analogies used here make the premise crystal clear. It's not easy to be a follower of Christ. Do you have what it takes?

Idleman is a wonderful author. The book is easy to read, each topic is short and to the point, and it definitely makes you look deep into your life and wonder...am I a fan or a follower?

This book is just AMAZING! It really makes one question if they really have been following Jesus or just been a Fan the whole time! This book has been a real Eye opener for me! It's has made me question my walk with Christ, in a good way of course! Now I wake up every morning passionately CHASING after Christ! Thank you so much for writing this book!

This book helps walk you through where you think you are and where you should be in your daily walk with Jesus. Couldn't have picked a better time for God to lead me to this book.

My youth pastor used this book for a 2 month long study in class. It was so convicting; it caused me to evaluate my relationship with God. Every service hit me right between the eyes. A must have!

God never told us to accept him and become comfortable with a nice house and a white fence. He called us to follow, to give action. To be his servant. Kyle clearly lays out Jesus's intentions and explains how we as Christians should follow. This is such a moving book. I am Shelby, and I am dying to be a follower.
