    This was an absolutely fantastic follow up to part one for Cane and Charlie! These two are perfectly imperfect for one another, and reading their crazy journey was one I didn’t want to end! I love Stephanie St Klaire’s writing. She writes books full of deep and dynamic characters, nail biting suspense, and unique story lines that keep you hooked from the start. Loved this addition to the series and will be anxiously awaiting the next story! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

    This is the continuation of Charlie's & Cain's story that sees them leaving Vegas and returning to the Brothers' Keepers headquarters in Portland. Charlie survived a series killer and Cain has been protecting her until she can testify. Did the killer die in Vegas or get away? Are the new murders copycats or something worse? As they get closer and closer to Charlie will Cain be able to protect her and figure out what is going on? Will Charlie let down her walls and admit her feelings for Cain? This story kept me on the edge of my seat while I tried to figure out what was going on and I was so happy to see some of the other characters in this world back in the thick of things. Thanks for a great conclusion!

    Stephanie St. Klaire has a sick and twisted mind, and I absolutely love it! Cane and Charlie are great and Close Encounter is full of twists and turns and I couldn’t put it down. What a great book, but I would expect nothing less!

    I am really enjoying this series. Twists and turns. Suspense balanced with just the right amount of romance. Love all Stephanie's books. I need her to write some lulls so I don't lose so much sleep because I can't put it down.

    5 Stars Fast paced and kept me on the edge of my seat from page one, Close Encounter, Part two is just as riveting as the first. Cane, Charlie, and the rest of the Brother’s Keepers are trying to stay vigil as murders keep popping up all over the place with Anson Devereaux’s signature. Charlie knows deep down the sick, sadistic man is still alive and is on the hunt for her once again. SSK keeps us guessing at every turn as to what will happen next. I would love to live inside her brain for a day just to see firsthand where she comes up with all the greatness that is her words.     Ms. St. Klaire has become a master at sexy romantic & at times, terrifying suspense stories. Some of her characters are members of a high class security team called Brothers Keepers. They protect people from the worst dangers & do it successfully. This story is the continuation of Part 1. Cane is a member of that team. He’s protecting the only surviving victim of a gruesome serial killer. This story kept me on the edge of my seat. You knew they were going to be in tense situations but you had no idea how they were going to get out of them. Smart, terrifying serial killer vs. sexy, savvy Cane. It was witty. It was sexy. It was scary!!

    Heart pounding, edge of your seat suspense is what Ms. St. Klaire delivers in this amazing story. I got lost in this story as I was reading and that’s my favorite part of reading, the escapism factor. Cane and Charlie rise again and this time they get their man/woman. Eddie and Skye showing up again was a bonus. If you’ve read Part 1 you are REALLY going to want to complete the story with part 2. If you haven’t read either and your a romantic suspense fan, you don’t want to miss this fantastic story.
