Description

The Last Letter is a haunting, heartbreaking and ultimately inspirational love story.“—InTouch Weekly

Beckett,

If you’re reading this, well, you know the last-letter drill. You made it. I didn’t. Get off the guilt train, because I know if there was any chance you could have saved me, you would have.

I need one thing from you: get out of the army and get to Telluride.

My little sister Ella’s raising the twins alone. She’s too independent and won’t accept help easily, but she has lost our grandmother, our parents, and now me. It’s too much for anyone to endure. It’s not fair.

And here’s the kicker: there’s something else you don’t know that’s tearing her family apart. She’s going to need help.

So if I’m gone, that means I can’t be there for Ella. I can’t help them through this. But you can. So I’m begging you, as my best friend, go take care of my sister, my family.

Please don’t make her go through it alone.

Ryan

Such an absolute whirlwind of emotions, I was excited, then upset, then falling in love just to be heart broken. Amazing job Yarros.

Started reading this at 11pm after seeing one of my favorite TikTok creators say it was heartbreaking. It is now 5am and I just finished the book and my face is sore from wiping the tears away. Such an amazing and heartbreaking book!

Nothing will prepare you for the ending of this book. You will care about the characters - celebrate when they win and cry real tears with every heartbreak. Pro tip: read with tissues at the ready.

This book ripped my heart to pieces. I felt like I knew Colt and Maisie on a personal level, and seeing the relationship between Ella and Beckett made me realize what I want in a relationship (for the most part). I genuinely am at a loss of words at how incredibly written this book was and how much it captures your emotions. 10/10 recommend. I will say, there are quite a few moments that I needed Kleenexes for, so be prepared.

This destroyed me. Grab some tissues when you’re starting this one.

This is the most depressing book I’ve ever read. I thought this poor girl was going to have a happy ending but it just kept getting more depressing, honestly it was kind of comical at the ending of the story line because it was so far fetched. The last part of the story was extremely rushed and unnecessary.
