Another wonderfully sweet and sexy romance with the crew from Canyon Cove. Jackie seems to be the queen of picking the wrong guy, She’s even let her ex-boyfriend crash at her apartment while he’s out of his for repairs. When Samantha pushes her into Brent’s path at her wedding, well, the sparks do fly but after Brent promises to call, he never does. This only solidifies Jackie’s belief that Brent is just a player and isn’t ready for any type of commitment. Brent is blown away by what he feels for Jackie but gets the shock of his life when he does call. This sets in motion a challenging relationship as misunderstandings abound. I enjoyed their chemistry and the banter that Jackie and Brent maintained. Jackie frustrated me at times when she couldn’t see Dennis for the leach he truly is but it also showed her lack of confidence in herself as she struggled to trust Brent’s intentions.
