Description

Meet Molly Masters, a zany mother and accidental sleuth who owns a one-woman business that creates humorous eCards. After a twenty-year absence, Molly has relocated her family to her childhood home in a suburb of Albany, NY, only to have her husband's reassignment abruptly changed to overseas.

Molly's least-favorite high school teacher dies on the very same day that Molly receives both a letter from that teacher and an anonymous email that threatens Molly's life. All too soon, Molly finds herself knee deep in gossip...and murder.

Couldn’t put this down. Just love the cartoons and the characters. Molly is a great mom. She really projects the real life of a mom of two children on her own.

A breath of fresh air for barely computer literate people like me with those snippets of information on emails and faxes. Author did a good job hiding the identity of the killer until the climax. She had me speculating one character after another as the culprit, then discard that theory one or two chapters later.
  • It’s a winner!

I picked this book because of the synopsis. That made me a winner too. The story moves right along. Her writing style is one that I like. It’s a real conversation and it’s not a two page description. It’s got a little bit of laughter along with the murder in a smaller town suburb. I hope to read the the rest of the Molly Masters series!

This book was enjoyable enough to read, with a couple laugh out loud moments, but at times it felt like the author was trying a little too hard with the humor. The main character's efforts to solve the mystery also seemed unrealistic. I enjoyed the main character's ecards.

Good book! Interesting characters you come to know. Fast paced story. Enough detail to make it easily pictured, but, not too much to bore a reader. Will definitely recommend to friends!
  • Good book, read it in one sit.

I find it difficult to locate books with dry witty humor, with a good story as well as an interesting mystery. Leslie O'Kane's sense of humor is caustic with her e-cards and fax cover sheets. But sometimes life gets in the way when you try to escape into a novel, you have to put the iBook down and come back later. This was one book I had no trouble remembering the characters; their personalities and descriptions were so well drawn I visualized them immediately. I was very happy to see that even though I thought I knew who the guilty party was, the author kept me guessing enough that I wasn't upset when the person turned out to be the killer. And the story didn't end abruptly just because the killer was caught. Loose ends were tied up and hope for the characters futures were sustained. Thank you for keeping me interested and I look forward to more entertaining iBooks in my future.
  • I so enjoyed this book.

This book was one of the more enjoyable books that I have read. I like the setting in the homey type neighborhood. Your characters were believable and natural. Thank you for the fun. Selma Kahl from Perry Hall Md.
