Terrific book! And delighted that it the first of a new series by Ilona Andrews. Felt like coming home to the Innkeeper series when the Lees was introduced. The heroine is enthralling……. And can hardly wait for the next sequel….still waiting for an Innkeeper sequel….. and a sequel to the spinoff with Maud…. ……

One of my faves so far from Ilona Andrews, incredible world building in a short time, satisfying ending, I’m so ready for more here!!

Did not want it to end… where’s book 2!!!

I absolutely devoured this. This reads like an Andrews series’ love child- Hidden Legacy meets Kate Daniels meets Innkeeper. I adored every second and can’t wait for more.

Another excellent book from Ilona Andrews with engaging world building, great characters, and an intriguing storyline. Makes me want to reread the whole Innkeeper series!

They’ve done it again! It was a serial on the blog and thankfully now a published book! I love the author notes at the beginning and I love the notes at the end to clarify and organize some of the new information I’ve just chugged! I swear being a part of the BDH means I willingly try to drink from a fire hydrant if it spills out these authors’ thoughts! I’ve read everything of theirs that I can get my hands on, and am never disappointed with their flawless story telling, adventure, dialogue, and imagination! I LOVE Ilona and Gordon Andrews and am so happy I found them. If you haven’t read this or their other books, I HIGHLY recommend that you do! I originally read this when IA serialized it on their blog. I love the additions they made, we get so much more depth. The ending was excellent and well worth the wait. I’m really looking forward to reading what’s next for Ada. Oh and the illustrations are AMAZING. I wish this was the norm in SFF.
