Description

It's been said that you can only be pushed so far until you break, and it's a miracle that I haven't snapped in half yet.

When it's not vampires trying to rally the rest of the supernatural world to rage war against humans, it's angels and demons engaging in a battle Royale. Though this time, not everyone on my father's side wants to partake, and the divide leaves the fate of the world dangling in my hands. It's a responsibility I don't want to have, but I'll be damned before I let hell reign on earth, putting everyone I care about in danger.

The hard truth is I can't do this on my own, and accepting help from a powerful ally means agreeing to something I don't want to do. But what I want isn't what the world needs, and if we want any chance of stoping this pending apocalypse, I'm going to have to make a choice: love or power.

KING OF NIGHT is book 10 in the Thorne Hill Series and is to be enjoyed in reading order.

as usual for this series, this book was fantastic. I absolutely love the characters and the world that Emily has built within this series. crazy cliffhanger at the end - I completely did not expect that. also, I love the companion novel it was fantastic and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved getting the point of view from Lucas!!! I feel like this series could go on forever. There are so many characters to write about, and so much always happens in Callie‘s life. As long as Emily writes, I will continue to read.

I don’t know if it’s my copy. But I think this needs to be proof read. It says “click here to enter text” through out the whole book. Sometime twice on one page. Love the story, but it’s extremely distracting.
  • Too short and awful/no editing

This book was over in a blink. The previous books felt longer with more substance. The editing, or lack there of, is frustrating because it breaks fluid reading. There’s a bunch of random “click here to add text” added in all over the place. Super weird. I’m also fairly certain I pre-ordered this book last year and had to pay again to read it once it came out (maybe this is because it was so far past due).

I really enjoyed the newest installment of the Thorne Hill series; however, I have to give it 3 stars because the editing was atrocious. Nearly every page had at least one typo or other issue. I don’t think the previous books were anywhere near this bad. What happened?? I have experience editing books and I volunteer to edit the next book(s) in the series-for free!!

I have read books 1-10 twice. This paranormal series is filled with witches, vampires, angels and werewolves. The story line is original, sexy and creative. The characters come to life and I am on a first names bases with all the characters. I hope this series never ends. I love reading about Callie and Lucas and can hardly wait for the next book.
