Drivel

This work shamelessly panders to right wingnuts who live and die with the Rush Limbaugh and Faux News daily talking points. Frankly it's enough to make you sick. It exploits the increasingly disenfranchised angry white reader by stoking his or her conspiracy theory fears.
They include: how the politicians (read the President and his weak-kneed administration) aren't protecting the country's "real patriots" who it turns out have pretty fascist tendencies - after all, they know best what's right for their, I mean "our" country. How North Korea, Iran, and what the heck, Russia are in cahoots and trying to detonate a nuclear bomb in our midst. How the Administration wants to prosecute the "real patriots." Some of which are holed up in their Colorado silo, I mean mansion, called "Hawks Nest."
There's plenty of military nonsense throughout this novel with plenty of "yes sirs," and "no sirs" which glorify the "real patriots."
I'm not one to rain on anyone's religous beliefs, but the "end of times" blather (Is this actually Christian stuff?) runs all through this piece.
Really, the whole concoction has a distinct fascist subtext which no real American should be able to stomach, the religious overtones notwithstanding.
