There is nothing quite like seeing a bird open his beak as he sings! So often you hear a bird sing but don't see it, or see a bird perched for a moment but don't hear its song. The beautiful high-definition video of birds caught in song in this book puts these two pieces together more elegantly than any of the other bird resources I have seen.

This is a really stunning book that combines great visuals of birds with their songs. I always found it difficult to learn bird sounds when the sounds were in isolation from the bird, as in hearing them from an audio recording. I think this combination of sounds and birds is wonderful and really helps stick that sound with the bird.

I am rarely moved to write reviews of anything I purchase in terms of apps, books, etc - but this time, I cannot keep quiet. The quality of the photography, video, and sound recording in this ibook is outstanding. This is the ideal platform for this work, providing an interactive experience above and beyond what a tradition book can provide.

What a wonderful experience! Having stunning photos and videos as well as compelling sound recordings of these amazing birds is a real treat. The additional information and range maps add immensely to the value of this book. And finally, having audio and video segments from the authors, makes this the best e-book I have ever seen. The layout is gorgeous and the functionality is amazing. This was certainly a labor of love for these dedicated nature lovers, and it shows in every aspect of the work. I can't recommend this title enough for anyone that is interested in birds and their songs.

Photos and videos are stunning! Bird calls are beautiful and clear. My cats are enjoying the bird videos as well :) Great resource to learn more about the birds around us. Wonderful 'book' to have on your iPad!

A gorgeous integration of beauty and knowledge. This is the future of bird books!

This book is nothing short of fantastic. Stunning visuals, a kaleidoscope of sounds that introduce the range of songs and calls of each of the twenty species, and really interesting bits of natural history thrown in. My nephew isn't here right now, but this is going to be enthralling to kids and grand kids at any age, I'm sure of it! They can tap, they can listen, and the color can't be beat. It's a steal!
