Read this 40 years ago and it's as good today as it was then

I am loving this series! If you can get past the elaborate wording you will find an action packed adventure around one of the sweetest love stories ever! However, it's not a typical story where the hero saving the day is inevitable, much of the plot reads more like a tragedy, making it that much better.

This second book is as good as the first one, but... A cliffhanger? Really? :)
