    Fun, quick read on a topic that usually loses my interest due to the dry style many financial experts use. Dan's personal stories bring humor to difficult topics and helps you realize that the mistakes we make are not unique. The book is a great review of basic financial planning in an accessible style. This is a must read for college grads or those just starting out and will certainly help me start the financial literacy discussion with my kids.

    A very quick read, to the point with enough information to arm anyone tasked with understanding their investment options. I related to the content immediately with shared experiences of the author. It's nice to know that someone else admits to not understanding the Media money reports, has made both credit card and investment mistakes, and is willing to help others by sharing these personal experiences. I enjoyed the flexibility of of the iPad application and the validation the quizzes provided at the end of each chapter. I plan to share this book with my 19-year old son and our 12 year-old grandson. Julia Durand

    Reading about personal finance can be agonizing, but Dan Otter transcends the boredom and makes it fun (and funny). With a wit that balances sarcasm and activism with gentle shoves and positive reinforcement - you come away optimistic. At the end of this quick read you don't feel stupid about yourself, you feel like there is a path out of financial bondage. This book won't give you the minute details that other books do, instead it focuses on getting you to change your behavior in a few broad strokes.
