How to Write

This text and workbook gives lessons, examples and exercises in all the main genres of writing, and is aimed at pupils between Grade 4 and Grade 8, depending on their own personal ability. Sentences and paragraphs are practised first, before longer essays are attempted. The writing styles covered include narrative, descriptive, informative, persuasive, discussion, comparative, instructive and letter genres. The book is suitable for both school and home study.
