This has been a favorite of mine for years. The first person narrative adds a unique connection to the main character; his emotions are explored in a depth that is exceptional for the SWEU. Absolutely recommend.

Plenty of action and intrigue woven around a personal journey for Corran Horn becoming a Jedi through training by Luke at the Jedi Academy and through his discovery and learning of his family history/ legacy. This story is told in the first person by Corran Horn with great introspection. At the same time, it is an exciting and fun read while giving the reader serious issues of personal development and a view into what it is to be a follower of the way of the Jedi . I found this journey story to be very personally inspirational as their teachings are applicable to readers . I found myself highlighting and note taking on my ebook all through it. It is a book I'll read again.

Great story. Did a nice job of filling in the story without it feeling forced. I love the first person telling from The Hero, a good change up to the series.

I've read hundreds of Star Wars stories and this is by a wide margin my favorite. The writing style and character development are nearly without parallel in the Expanded Universe. A must read for any Star Wars fan.
