You can't be extraordinary without being a character and Steven Tyler surely fits the bill. Interesting read and very entertaining.

This was such a fun book! I grew up loving Steven's music and band and what a treat to get inside Steven's head and world! Because of this book Steven is on my bucket list as someone I'd like to meet. I love his honesty which I can so relate to. As a child my Mom Jacque called me Mouth of the South since I had no secrets and was ashamed of nothing. I love really getting to know people not just peeling off one layer of the onion. This is how Steven is and he opens up his world to you in his book and thru his songs. Buy this book if you love Aerosmith. You won't be disappointed! I sure hope he tours again and comes to Jacksonville, Florida! We will be there! Rock on my friend! Susan Knight

Aerosmith has been apart on my soul for decades now. Ironically I am only 26, but I was bread to marinate in the lyrics of Steven Tyler and groove to the rhythms of the Joe's, Brad & Tom. Yep I was one the the million chicks out there that would pour my heart out in tears of wanting to be blissfully recognized by the legends themselves. Years have past and I have grown farther from this very dream, and have come to realize that it's practically unrealistic. I'm okay with that. In reading this book, I have come to the realization that I have been touched, met these amazing musicians. Steven pours his words out and my brain filters the meaning. I love this book because ST really stops to smell the smells from 20 years ago, and even though I was not even a twinkle in my daddy's eye, I can smell the smell ST describes. There is no one or one thing that will ever change, my infatuation for the whole band.

While the first half of the book, which chronicles his youth and launch to stardom through the 70's, paints a picture of a self-indulgent, egotistical child, in the end we come to know Mr. Tyler as a sweet, spirited person with frailties. Mr. Tyler should be appreciated for his honesty and the effort that went into creating this book that shines a light in a way that his music has done for decades. Mike, Natick, MA, born 1963.

I have to admit that I have not listened to an entire Aerosmith album/CD, but have enjoyed the singles I heard on the radio. Reading this book has given me an newfound respect for Steven Tyler the performer, as well as Steven Tallirico, the man. I learned just how creative, intelligent, sensitive, driven, impulsive, and at times tortured he is. I hope he is able to maintain his sobriety--as he has worked so hard (and so many times) to accomplish it. Enjoyed every word of his book and will recommend it to others. Thanks for the roller coaster ride!!!

Mr. Tyler bares his soul and VERY candidly describes his journey to becoming one of the biggest legends in Rock 'n' Roll. loved it. Worth spending the extra couple of bucks for the extra commentary at the end. Watching him offer his experience and insight to help the candidates on American Idol and reading his book at the same time have made it all the more interesting. As millions of others could say, I grew up with Aerosmith and their music is ingrained in my mind and soul. These latest projects just give me another reason to love Steven. Stay healthy and keep reinventing yourself, Steven, because we need you around for many years to come! xoxoxoxox A HUGE FAN
