I first read this book in 7th grade, and to say I was obsessed with it would be an understatement. I felt so connected to the main character and his story. I’ve read this book three times now and it loses none of the captivating charm it strangled me with then. And that is again not an understatement. Daniel Kraus has gone on to write a couple more of my favorite books, the Zebulon Finch series. All of these books shaped who I am, and I don’t know if I should thank Kraus or what.
