Shane Galanter is a man ready to put down roots after years of searching for happiness. But is he making the right choice? Or is there a woman somewhere who even now also remembers those long-ago days . . . and a love that hasn’t faded with time?

Lauren Gibbs is a successful international war correspondent who gave up on happily-ever-after years ago—when it was ripped away from her. Since then, she’s never looked back. So why can’t she put to rest the one question that haunts her: Why is life so empty?

Emily Anderson is a college freshman raised by her grandparents and about to take her first internship as a journalist. • My first Kingsbury

And probably my last. A quick, read that started out interesting but turned Saccharine sweet with forced romanticized religion. Blanket forgiveness and happily ever after with no lasting consequences—I guess that’s what Christian fiction is though, no thought. Death was the only thing that was anywhere close to real life. Then on top of that, it was improperly formatted, so it had only 2 chapters, the title page and the rest of the book.

Karen Kingsbury did it again. She draws you into the story until you feel like you are there, watching it unfold. I’ve read her books for over 20 years, and she has not disappointed me yet. Her stories always offer hope and the knowledge that our Savior loves us and is a God of many chances. Thank you Karen!

Loved this book!! Great story. Karen is such an amazing author. Her books make you feel so many emotions. I've never cried as much reading stories, until I read her books! Now I need to read Ever After...

Maybe it's because this isn't my favorite genre, but I found the book dull. The characters weren't really interesting and the writing was flat. I've been trying to make my way through this book for days, but I feel like I'm forcing myself to read it. I now understand why iBooks gave this book away for free. I'm very grateful I didn't pay for it.
