I really liked this. It was a great story ...except for the tiger/human sex scene. That was just yucky.

I really liked this book, its funny but also is a great love story. The content is graphic in the sense that there is a lot of Blood and death. But this book was so worth downloading!

I loved this book! The author made you believe that anything in the story could really happen!

This was pretty well written aside from a few typos and inconsistencies. The plot was engaging and refreshingly starts in China with a non virginal female protagonist. The animal sex was a little surprising but less weird that one would expect. Overall a quick and entertaining read.

I think I would've this 4 stars if it was a bit shorter. I didn't think having 2 plots in the book was necessary, it just made the book longer. There was quite a bit of repetition of much hari suffered, how he's still a good person, how strong dela was, blah, blah, I get it. On the positive side it was an interesting book, unique concept and the characters had depth. I also enjoyed the other characters too (from the agency) - they were entertaining and it was a nice break from the lovie dovie couple.

Beastism sex scene really turned me off.

What! I'm confused, why hasn't anyone written a review??! I read this in one sitting, actually laying, because I ended up reading it in bed the entire night until morning! Marjorie M. Liu does a phenomenal job with detailing emotions and descriptions, and she oscillates back and forth between the two main characters at just the right moments. With what people tend to like most about popular series such as Harry Potter or Twilight, this single book grabs the best elements from both of those series, leaving readers getting just enough mystery, murder, suspense, romance, and humor to make one feel complete. This is wonderful for being free (there were a few minor typos with a few character names, that's all) but now I'm off to buy some of this author's other works. Definitely recommend this.
