How did I miss this book? Ann Patchett can spin a tale, but she is a master at the the mental, emotional, and spiritual machinations of her characters and how they weave into each other’s lives. Very good read.

Too bad. This book is a train wreck.

Based on the book description, I went into this read expecting something more exciting, so my review is definitely skewed by that, but I just found Run very boring. It was well written, but I didn't really care what happened to the characters. Once I realized it wasn't getting any better, I stopped reading. It took me a long time to realize that - I read 9 out of 11 chapters.
  • Not my favorite but a 5 star none the less.

Everything Ann Patchett writes is more than worthy of 5 stars and "Run" is no exception. While not my favorite I did enjoy this book so much. The character development in ALL her books is flawless. It does't get better than Ann Patchett so read them all!
