To support his family, Billy Crystal's father, Jack, worked two jobs, having only one day a week to spend with his family. Just the kind of read for me at this time---I needed to laugh and I needed to cry! Thanks for sharing your life with me, Billy.

I read this book while going through a terrible time in my life. It was great to smile,to laugh and even to cry. A great book and I am sure I will refer to it again to lift my spirits for myself and mankind. For you see I am 56 and lived as an orphan for 40 years of my life.

This was a great book for 2 reasons. One, I come from Long Beach and related to everything Billy says and number 2, I just lost my mother.

Truly one of the most enjoyable books that I have read in a long time. Billy Crystal is my favorite comedian anyway but what a remarkable family life he had growing up. The book is funny, and heartwarming and sad because that way of life is a past era now.

I love biographies and this is no exception. My only regrets are that I didn't read it earlier and I missed the live performances. It really puts parent child relationships in perspective. A great actor, comedian and respectable author.
