Enjoyed it.

Third book finished this week. I won’t stop until I read every last book. Always at the edge of my seat, I love it!

I wish writers would stop writing about troubled female agents or detectives who are in need of therapy and lost a sister at a young age and blame themselves. That seems to be the formula. Then of course they have to be big and bad and take down a while bar full of grown men with a kick (roll eyes). And of course she runs off on her own and almost get killed. The main characters were flat lined. I skipped a lot.

I have to give this book four stars due to the pleasure I got out of reading it. I find it interesting that female authors with two syllable first names and one syllable last names seem to write very similar books - strong female leads who seem to always have a missing sister in their past and seem to go off on their own to bring down the murderer, only to have their alpha male back up rush in and help to save the day or do the clean up after. Due to the quality of the writing, I am going to read one more in this series but, if I can guess how Dakota is going to go off by herself in this one, I’m going to have to take a break. Well written is a great compliment in this genre so hats off to the author!

Great suspense story. I couldn’t put it down. The story kept getting better and better as it went and had a fantastic ending.

I love the details; descriptions of characters’ thoughts, facial expressions, and actions.

I would’ve given it 4 stars but the thing that bothered me the most about this book was how she kept describing Agent Marcus as “ the big man “. I understand her detailing him as that once but over And over again became a bit much and over excessive and weird tbh.

Same old angst! Sheesh!
