A typical and inspirational!

Loved this book. Nice balance between the struggles, strengths and endurance of a woman with a little bit of mystery.

Excellent novel, engaging and memorable characters.

This book is inspiring, true, humorous, sad…it’s all there. And even though it’s set in about 1955-1960, it’ still true. There is no good way to “explain” this novel, but it’s brilliant.

Elizabeth Zott is nothing short of inspirational. Her character strikes a chord not only with me but also with the legacy of my grandmother and great-grandmother. She embodies the enduring struggle of countless women who have labored tirelessly to craft lives rich in value and integrity—a battle that feels as relevant today as ever, given the current state of our nation. Elizabeth's path as a chemist serves as a poignant reminder of a universal yearning: the desire to pursue our lifelong passions, even as we find ourselves spending more time proving our worth in a world that often resists embracing our true selves.

Funny and engaging, *Lessons in Chemistry* is a story of determination in a time when women weren’t taken seriously for their smarts and ambition. Sadly, too many of the slights and old stereotypes wielded against Elizabeth in the fifties and sixties still rear their ugly heads some 60+ years later. A story of feminism when the word was barely understood. A pleasure to read.

Can’t finish it

Love the story line, the character development especially for six thirty, and the plot twist at the end! Great read.

This book is perfect. My only complaint is that the author has not written any other books. (Also the rowing stuff is awesome, coming from a school rower)
