Description

A friends-to-lovers romance…

Bayleigh Hart
RELATIONSHIP STATUS: Runaway Bride
I didn’t mean to. It just happened. I swear it. One minute, I was walking down the aisle, and the next, I was in Bora Bora with my bestie, Archer Scott. But this honeymoon isn’t in Vegas, and the feelings and naked parts we discovered aren’t going to stay there.

Archer Scott
RELATIONSHIP STATUS: In love with my best friend
I always thought I would have time to get closer to Bayleigh. That was until I was checking the Yes box on the RSVP for her wedding. One minute, she’s about to begin her life with Mr. Not Me, and the next, I’m dancing on a bar in a grass skirt. Fortunately, I’m a “grab the bull by the horns” kind of guy, so I go with it.

Archer never saw his best friend Bayleigh in a romantic light until she got engaged, ran away at the altar when she realized her fiancé was cheating on her, and they had to share a bed on the honeymoon trip she ropes him into taking with her. There was a lot of swearing, sex talk, and ridiculous moments in this book. I was thinking that Archer wasn’t very mature for someone who went though all that education to be a veterinarian, but I’m sure he’s much more professional on the job. There was a huge lack of communication in this book. They are attracted to each other and act on it, but then feel like other would rather forget it happened and don’t talk about it. At one point Archer is kissing another woman thinking he doesn’t have a chance with Bayleigh when he could just stop making so many assumptions and talk to her. I loved Archer’s lovable rescue dachshunds. His sister is just as off the wall as Archer and Bayleigh at times and made me shake my head and chuckle.

This book was very funny. There are also places where it is heartbreaking—like much of chapter one with Archer’s feelings. I really liked both points of view—it was pretty important to this story. He and Bayleigh hurt each other by having a hard time talking about what is going on. I definitely felt Archer’s a lot more than Bayleigh’s. I really enjoyed this story so much. I received a free copy of this book.
