Very engaging book. Sets up the new era so well. Emotional roller coaster. Worth reading.

As someone returning to the Battletech Universe I found the book enjoyable. Despite not having read the previous fiction, I felt that enough information was given to understand what was going on. The book is a good wrap up of the previous storylines and sets the reader up for the books to come. I definitely recommend reading Children of Kerensky. It is a prequel to this book and helps establish the main characters.
