I just couldn’t put this down. I was pleasantly
surprised that this wasn’t just taking place in the concentration camps. I’ve read a lot of those. But never about the suffering in Warsaw. In and out of the ghetto. I just love her writing.
On to her next novel.

This book while it is fiction allows you to see into the events and things that happened in the Warsaw Ghetto. Very eye opening to the real torture that occurred that history wants to erase!
So sad

The horrors of war and the resilience of people would never cease to amaze me and to make me appreciate peacetime, wondering how long, now a days, it will last.
Excellent historical fiction

Kelly gave the characters depth. I could see them so well, feel their emotions, picture their pain. I would definitely recommend this book!

A haunting yet hopeful story about a young couple trying to survive the WWII German occupation of Warsaw, Poland. I felt that I had a real glimpse of their pain and hope for a better existence.
