Jeremiah 31. 31-34 tells us even the least of God's people will have the New Covenant written on their hearts.

This gets you thinking the New Covenant can't be all that complicated, since even the least of God's people will have the New Covenant inscribed on their hearts.

Every church under the cross is a false church lost in heresy: every church under the cross leads people away from Heaven and to perdition.

It may be true that God will have mercy and will admit into Heaven some Christians who are lost in false churches.

Revelation 20. 12-15 says you get tossed into a lake of fire at the Last Judgment if your name is not found written in the Book of Life.  Revelation 20. 12-15 doesn't say God will never have mercy on the damned.  Perhaps God will transfer many or most of the damned out of the fire and give them more comfortable places in eternal perdition.

Nevertheless...

You want to get your name written in the Book of Life.

So, you want to find God's True Church which leads people to Heaven and you want to escape from every false church sunk in heresy which drags people down to eternal perdition.

John 14. 23-26 and Matthew 16.13-19 tell us, in so many words that it is heresy, it is a satanic lie, to say that there is no True Church.

Naturally, the typical Christian probably thinks it is BRAINLESS IDIOCY to say that though Christianity is true nevertheless every church under the cross is a false church lost in heresy which drags people down to eternal perdition.

WELL...SUPPOSE IT IS BRAINLESS IDIOCY...

SUPPOSE IT IS ALSO BRAINLESS IDIOCY TO HAVE THOUSANDS OF SEPARATE CHRISTIAN DENOMINATIONS WHEN THE SCRIPTURES TELL US THERE IS ONLY ONE TRUE CHURCH.

MANY EVANGELICALS REASON AS FOLLOWS...

SINCE WE EVANGELICALS PROFESS THE CONTENTS OF JOHN 3. 16, THEREFORE...WE ARE SAVED!  WE ARE SAINTS BOUND FOR HEAVEN!

But professing the contents of John 3. 16 only proves you can pay lip service to John 3. 16.

St. Paul is correct: one is saved by faith not by works, but the New Testament is filled with scriptures which indicate quite clearly that one is judged according to his works to determine if his faith is legit.
