Description

The long-awaited conclusion to the series that brought you NUDES ("passionate, emotional, and uplifting!" - #1 NY Times Bestseller Lauren Blakely) and BARE ("heartfelt and sexy!" – USA Today Bestselling Author Kate Meader), a young singer with stars in her eyes falls for a composer whose sordid background might strip them bare.

Grant Mercer is on the run from his secrets…

This was supposed to be an easy assignment—travel halfway across the globe and compose the musical score for an upcoming Hollywood movie by one of the biggest production companies in Los Angeles. One and done like dozens of times before. I wasn't supposed to have my entire life crumble around me the moment my plane took off. I wasn't supposed to meet her.

Intriguing and covered in ink, Simone enters my life like a storm, leaving only heartbreak in her wake. I should keep my distance. Hell, she should keep hers. Instead, we did the exact opposite.

Simone Reynolds is mending a broken heart…

Just months after finaling in one of television's most watched singing competitions, I should be riding the high of my life. I should be celebrating starring in a musical film predicted to rock the box office. It's hard to bask in my success when my family is suffering a loss we never saw coming. And then there's Grant—brooding and rugged and an absolute pain in my ass as he messes with my movie.

He's as broken as I am, but the perfect harmony is only a leap of faith away.

4.75 Stars for Sheer. This final book about the youngest Reynolds sister hit all the right notes for me. This series really has worked on all levels, from the first chapter of Nudes to the series epilogue. In Sheer we get Simone as she’s finding her own success thru music after years of putting her family first. When she meets the somewhat broody Grant Mercer she takes a chance at living for herself. The gorgeous Kiwi has met his match in the sassy Simone, and despite his past he can’t help but take a chance with her. Together they come alive, and man did their chemistry burn white hot!

I have really loved this series but I have to say that Simone and Grant have become my favorite couple of the series. And that says a lot because I really loved Aria and Ben. This story was a little more emotional than Nudes and Bare. Simone’s family suffered a great loss and seeing her with her family really brought on quite a few emotions. I love how Grant and Simone both help each other with their issues; they rescued each other. Sarah Robinson has a way of connecting you with these characters that they feel real and you become a part of their family. This series is absolutely a must read.

I knew Sarah Robinson was going to send us off with a dazzling finale in this series, but never did I imagine I'd be hanging on every word. Incredibly painful at times, sizzling hot and captivated by the story. It's best to climb right in your reader and enjoy the ride. It's nothing short of amazing. We meet Simone, who is working on a live, music based movie, on the heels of the almost win of a national singing competition while dealing with a heartbreaking tragedy. I loved Simone, she's strong and confident. Enter Grant who is flying in from his home in New Zealand to pull the score together for the show and he meets Simone. Grant is a grouch, he's got his reasons, but still a grouch! Of course they butt heads, of course he's a bit difficult. His life is up in the air right now and he's got a boatload of very real problems to deal with thanks to his ex-wife. His ex is a real piece of work. He also has plans for the future when he's done with this show. Watching these two knock heads but also embrace what was happening between the two of them was the best part of the book. Seeing the sisters again along with their children was great. I loved their relationship. It's what matters. The book is flawless, the story flows, the dialogue is stellar and Sarah will pull you right into the story. The dual epilogues were perfection. Fabulous, emotional read. *arc from NetGalley and publisher for an honest review*
