Description

Eden: Josh Evans and I have been best friends forever. He knows all my secrets, and I know all of his. So when he randomly asks me to help him lose his virginity, I sort of flip out. That’s a question that sends your mind to places you’ve seriously never considered before. Like, you know. Having sex. With your best friend. Except Josh doesn’t want to have sex with me—he wants me to help him find a girl. A nice girl, who’s funny and smart and cute. Except he already knows a girl just like that…

Josh: Eden Sumner is my best friend. So of course she’d be the person to help me find my perfect match, so I can drop my V-card before I head off to college. Except the more we search, the more I realize that maybe the right girl has been by my side all along. I don’t need Eden’s help in finding me a girl to love. I’m pretty sure I’m already in love with Eden. But now she thinks I’m only after one thing...with anyone but her.

Disclaimer: This Entangled Teen Crush book is what happens when American Pie meets Friends with Benefits. It contains two best friends, plenty of angst, and lots and lots of sex talk. Reading this might have you looking at your best friend in a different light!

  • Beautiful story about the life of typically complex teenagers!

“Saving It” is author Monica Murphy’s newest young adult book, and it was fantastic! This book explores the typically complex life of teenagers and friendships generally - how friendships are created, and how they grow and change. The twist in this storyline is that the two main characters, who are best friends, happen to be a boy and a girl. And, this book makes the reader question whether opposite sexes can really be only friends. Josh and Eden take us through their journey, and Monica does a beautiful and delicate job exploring how their relationship evolves. It is a wonderfully sweet story. It brought me back to high school and trying to navigate friendships with the opposite sex. Although I had guy friends in high school, several that remain friends to this day, we never ripped off the friendship seal - but we definitely considered it. I think we all hope to fall in love with our best friend - I did, but years after high school! Another amazing story - keep them coming Monica! *I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this story and am posting an honest review.

Josh and Eden have been best friends for years. When he decides that he's tired of still carrying his v-card, he asks Eden to help him choose a girl to lose it to. This project shows both of them that there is more to their relationship than purely friendship. I labolsultely love best friends to lovers stories. The basis of the relationship has already been built but there's always the "am I sure I want to take the risk" present. Josh and Eden have an amazing friendship and it would be devastating to both of them to lose it but their other friends have seen what they haven't for a long time: they are *perfect* for each other. This YA take on my favorite trope was an adorable read. I loved these characters and am really hoping that some of the others also get their stories told. *This is my voluntary review of an advanced reader copy*

This book really hit on the right notes for me. I adore high school romances and Monica's characters are always so interesting. This is a total friends to lovers romance with some angst and high school drama. For me, the beginning took a little bit of time to draw me in but once it got going, I was hooked. Angst gets me every time. Eden and Josh are just an adorable little pair who you will be rooting for the whole way.

A fantastic, cute, sweet, fun, and charming YA read. This story dealt with teenagers real life issues, giving you all the feels, sexual exploration, emotions and some light drama. I was captivated and thoroughly enjoyed this story in one sitting. Such a well written story about the lives of some high school seniors that have been best friends since middle school. Monica Murphy has quickly become the Queen of this genre in my opinion. Eden Summer’s best friend Josh and her, have been best friends since middle school. They share everything with each other. I loved the conversations that this small knit group of friends have with each other, not holding anything back, as well as their support they give one another. When Josh decides that he needs to lose his v card before he goes off to college he enlists his best friend Eden’s help to come up with a nice sweet girl. But Eden, although she isn’t sure that she wants to be the one to help Josh with this dilemma, she sure doesn’t like the idea that she isn’t on his list of potential hookup partners. But after a uncomfortable, date at another girls home, Josh leaves to rescue Eden when she is stranded after a dinner date that becomes disastrous. All Josh can think of is Eden and how his feelings for her are getting in the way. If only she could be the one to help him, but that could then be the end of their friendship. And he doesn’t want to ever be without her in his life. But after a searing kiss, how will this complicate their friendship? Will this be the end to a close and long friendship? Or will this bring them closer together.? You will have to read to find out. Loved it! Highly Recommended! I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

A fun look at the trials teenagers go through when dealing with the angst and pressure of losing their V card. Eden Sumner and Josh Evans have been best friends forever. When Josh comes to Eden for help she knows she'll help but Eden's shocked when Josh reveals he wants her to help him find the person to lose his virginity to. As the search goes out it becomes clear that not just any girl will do. There's only one choice but convincing Eden may take a little work. A nicely done story that I highly recommend.
