Description

They say that every tragic hero has a fatal flaw, a secret sin, a tiny stitch sewn into his future since birth.  And here I am.  My sins are no longer secret. My flaws have never been more fatal.  And I’ve never been closer to tragedy than I am now.

I am a man who loves, a man whose love demands much in return.  I am a king, a king who was foolish enough to build a kingdom on the bones of the past. I am a husband and a lover and a soldier and a father and a president. And I will survive this.

Long live the king.

This was the third story of the New Camelot series and it was perfection. The way each book was written from the 3 main characters points of view was so unique. I was attached to all of them. I loved the spin on King Arthur with this series. There was so much emotion and so much sex and great plot points throughout. It’s one of my favorite series I’ve ever read. I was glad that Ash lived and was able to give Greer and Embry time together before living all together in the way they ended up. He really knew what was best for them to make it all work. Sierra Simone hit it out of the park again, further securing her spot as one of my top 5 favorite authors of all time.

A phenomenal ending to an amazing trilogy! A must read. Filled with history, legends and myths. Sexy, loving and down right HOT! A roller coaster of emotions this read will put you through. I highly recommend this book.

I can’t put into words what this story made me feel...a roller coaster ride where I felt my heart split open and cried like a baby. I’m entranced with the King Arthur story entwined with the background. I couldn’t get enough. Though admittedly there were parts I skipped but overall I LOVED it. Am adding Sierra to my fave authors.

OMG!!! I’m all sorts of happy and sad, devastated and restored, but above all, all the kinds of emotional!! Not gonna lie, I was a bit scared jumping into this after reading the first two books. I worried for my psyche (with good reason). And there were definitely tears shed and curses flung. But it was one h*ll of a ride!!! I love Ash, Embry and Greer so hard, that all the emotionally turmoil was worth it. And that’s saying a lot coming from someone who’d rather a giggle than a tear. But this trilogy was everything. Sierra Simone is everything. And if you can’t tell, I REALLY feel that you NEED to read this trilogy. That’s all, enough said. It must be done

5 gut wrenching, this series owned me stars. Oh my. I bought the first book months ago. And right before I was starting it I realized the last one didn’t come out for awhile. Since I was kind of on the fence about it anyway, I thought I’ll wait. Well. I’m an idiot on one hand. On the other hand, I’m not sure how you all did it, waiting for next installment. This series gutted me, hulled me out, and left me on the floor. I loved loved loved this. Sick, twisted, sad sack that i am. I highly recommend this series if you like hot, heart wrenching, honorable, heroic characters. The sexiness is high heat. Ash. Oh my. No words for this man’s accountability and honor. None. I don’t want to say much. I don’t even know how to talk about this without giving anything away, which I don’t want to do. Honestly, I think the lack of informative reviews is why I was hesitant to start it. But... It was better going in blind. You will fall in love with these characters, Mr President, Mr Vice, & Mrs First Lady. I swear it’s worth the read. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Hot hot hot dirt hot! And oh the feels. Do it. You know you want too! Team them!!
  • GUTTED ME!

So, I’m a part of several book groups on Facebook, as I’m sure many of you are as well, and every once in a while someone will pose the question, “What is the last book that made you ugly cry?” I always struggled with this one. I ugly cried at the end of Fifty Sades of Grey the first time I read it. I ugly cried a few times during TK Leigh’s Beautiful Mess trilogy. I ugly cried with Bang from EK Blair. But since then, not much. I mean I’ve teared up. Cried for several books. All of those books...child’s play. American King, the entire trilogy really because you can’t get all the feels from King unless you’ve got the history of Prince and Queen, GUTTED ME. I had to literally put my glasses down and press the heels of my palms into my eyes. I couldn’t read through the tears. I don’t read gay or bi romance. It’s just not my thing. I received a free copy of American Queen from another author’s newsletter. I had no clue what I was getting into until I was there. There in lies the key. Anyone can put words on paper or a screen. But to pull all the feels from you like that takes mass talent. This booked marked me for life. I’ve always loved the story of King Arthur. I may not know one sixteenth of what Sierra knows, but I’m fascinated, nonetheless. You can’t read American King by itself. It’s totally not a stand alone. I have hundreds of books that I got for free or under $1.99. I voluntarily paid way more for Prince and King than I normally would. There’s another clue as to the quality of writing in this series. It was worth every cent and I would have gladly paid more. I am now a Sierra Simone fan for life.
