Description

Unlock the secrets in Reunion Gap

When the son of the man who lost everything falls in love with the daughter of the man who stole it all, there can only be heartache ahead.
Readers who loved Mary Campisi’s bestselling Truth in Lies series, also known as the “A Family Affair” books, won’t want to miss Strangers Like Us, Book One in Mary’s new Reunion Gap series. It’s a tale of deception, secrets, forgiveness and redemption set in a small town.
Rogan Donovan gave up the glamour of big city life and returned home to help his family rebuild their lives after a smooth-talking stranger swindled his parents out of their life savings. But some things—like reputation and trust—can’t be rebuilt, and small towns never forget past offenses.
When Elizabeth Hayes arrives in Reunion Gap, bent on helping the people her father cheated, Rogan opens his heart to her, unaware she’s the daughter of the man who destroyed his father’s life. Despite her good intentions, Elizabeth’s secret will be exposed creating heartache, resentment, and bitterness.
Will forgiveness and redemption follow?

I enjoyed reading this story about love and deception. It makes a strong point to realize that children shouldn’t pay for this parent’s sins.

I liked this book but was astounded at the sudden ending... I hate that.

This was a really good book up until the end, then it seemed like the author was so eager to hook the readers on the next book in the series that she forgot to end this one. It was rushed & totally unsatisfying. Not up to her usual standards to just leave this story unfinished.

This book is an embodiment of fan fiction from the spontaneous lust to the predictable plot and the flawed logic that drives it. None of the characters are unique, and at times the author sets something up and promptly forgets about it. You won’t find anything new or innovative here.

A very good love story even though there was a reason this could have gone wrong, I am glad Rogan and Elizabeth worked through the trials and found love and glad Rose found some happiness. I hope Camille, Oliver, jennifer and Tate can find happiness. Can't wait to read the rest of the stories.

I have read every single book Mary Campisi has written and this first book in the start of a new series will not disappoint. I love how this book also intertwined with Magdalena characters!
