This was a really great read, I just couldn’t put it down! I don’t typically read historical romance novels, but this one intrigued me, with a blind main character. I loved that the main female character was not a beautiful, petite young woman, but instead one described as an Amazon. Highly enjoyable.

I liked the idea of the Jamaican Celeste with her siren voice and all the magical elements.

This was hilarious with heat, not stiff like some historical are.

A juicy plot line involving what you can and cannot see. The tension of the love story ran a little flat 2/3s through but still a good book overall.

Good read, easy to follow, enjoyed the funny situations. Nice to see that even back then there was a form of feminism, yet women used it in such a way that men didn't feel like they were being pushed aside. But women were able to make their feelings and opinions known. Just in a gentler different way, without demeaning them selves.
