Description

The star-studded and sidesplitting follow up to The Andy Cohen Diaries

The megapopular host of Watch What Happens: Live and executive producer of The Real Housewives franchise is back, better than ever, and telling stories that will keep his publicist up at night.

Since the publication of his last book, Andy has toured the country with his sidekick Anderson Cooper, hit the radio waves with his own Sirius station, Radio Andy, appeared on Real Time with Bill Maher despite his mother’s conviction he was not intellectually prepared, hosted NBC’s Primetime New Year’s Eve special, guest edited Entertainment Weekly, starred in Bravo’s Then & Now with Andy Cohen, offended celebrities with his ongoing case of foot-in-mouth disease, and welcomed home Teresa “Namaste” Giudice, from a brief stint in jail. Hopping from the Hamptons to the Manhattan dating world, the dog park to the red carpet, Cardinals superfan and mama’s boy Andy Cohen, with Wacha in tow, is the kind of star that fans are dying to be friends with. This book gives them that chance.

If The Andy Cohen Diaries was deemed “the literary equivalent of a Fresca and tequila” by Jimmy Fallon, Superficial is a double: dishier, juicier, and friskier. In this account of his escapades—personal, professional, and behind-the-scenes—Andy tells us not only what goes down, but exactly what he thinks of it.

I found this book to be hard to get through. Although I really really like Andy Cohen and had read both other books I'm pretty sure this was the last one I'll read. Many of the characters you don't know who they are and most of the materiel is boring.

This book was a joy to read; funny, honest, and a real conduit to understanding! The diaries, both of them, were a solid diversion, taking me thru hardest time of my life.

H thing about Andy's last two books ,he was excited felt new to him as funny and a fun read .I as so excited about this new book wanted to love it. I feel like he's lost his "I'm a fan" personally and is now taking it all for granted, which is a disappoint to me . I really want him to get back the thrill so. Can live through him and feel it as well! Come on Andy, please don't sound so jaded!!

I was hoping that you'd let us know about your daily thoughts and revelations. Instead, your book almost reads as a journal of where you went and with whom... like if someone were shadowing you, they could have written the book on their own without any insight from you. Still a fan. I realize now you are VERY busy, more so than I ever imagined. I would be exhausted if I had your life, though. Thank you for making me laugh nightly. -M. Leigh

As a HUGE fan of all the Bravo programming, I couldn't wait to read and was NOT disappointed! Andy made me feel as though I was an even closer "friend-in-my-head" with this follow-up book, and I didn't even mind the insane looks I received as I laughed OUT LOUD!
  • So boring

So disappointed in Andy's book. Maybe I do not know Andy at all from his show. The diary style book is very poorly written, and shows how insecure Andy is. Would recommend to no one.
  • Meh. I still love Andrew.

I love Andy and all things Bravo/housewife/Mazel/Wacha/wig. Andy's boring book can't change that, but the facts remain. His diary entries are like checked off to-do lists with little narrative substance. Allow me to sum up the book in its entirety: "Woke up to the smell of dog vomit. Wacha barfed all over my rug. Schlepped to Jersey for a book signing where I chomped a weed lollipop and signed 375 books. Was assaulted by a group of yentas. Missed my workout and felt like a fat slob. Met up with SJP, Melanie, Franky, BooBoo, Marsh, Kenny, JJ, Hildy, Ben, Kelly, and Bruce for a holiday party where I ate blah blah blah and said something stupid and felt shamey about it later. Tossed and turned all night thinking about my dumb comment and woke up to obsess about my book's Amazon ranking." I listened to the audiobook in my car, and it made for decent background noise, but I can't image committing to the print version. Sorry, Andrew. Regardless, you're welcome for brisket at my house in STL any day. Bring the weed lollies.

Another great book by Andy! If you loved his first two books, you'll love this one! I hope he does a 4th book, I'd buy it in a heartbeat!
