Description

He's a goalie in a slump. She's sworn off controlling men. One scorching night changes everything. Shane I'm a goaltender who can't catch a break—until I meet Bliss. One night with the gorgeous redhead, and suddenly I'm back on my game. Our chemistry is explosive, the sex unforgettable, and for the first time in months, I'm playing like I belong in the NHL. But Bliss made it clear from the start: this is temporary. No strings, no future. She's got her life in this small town, and I've got my shot at the big leagues waiting. The problem? I'm falling for her. Hard. Bliss After escaping an emotionally abusive ex who tried to control every part of my life, I swore I'd never give another man that kind of power over me. Especially not a driven, intense athlete chasing his dreams. A no-strings fling with the sexy goalie? Perfect. Catching feelings for Shane? Disaster. His off-beat humor melts my defenses. His wicked smile makes me forget why I built walls in the first place. And when he gets the call to the NHL, I realize I've been lying to myself about what I really want. But Shane isn't walking away without a fight. And maybe—just maybe—I'm ready to stop running. THE BRICK WALL is a steamy, small-town hockey romance featuring a determined goalie hero, a strong heroine healing from past trauma, intense chemistry, laugh-out-loud banter, and a hard-fought happily ever after.

  • Cute story, but oh, the grammar

I wish these folks who write stories would have a grasp of basic grammar and spelling or get a good proofreader. It takes away from the enjoyment of the book when the author doesn’t even know the proper usage of me, myself and I, and these errors just jump out at the reader.

So far it’s repeating the same thoughts and dragging out their initial interaction. I don’t like how she went to his first hockey game and the author literally skipped over it and went to two months later. Easy read. Nothing to major drama wise. I’ll update when I’m done. Hopefully I don’t have to skip pages

I don’t normally read sport romances, but I do like this author. This was a really great read. Great characters, well put together storyline. I love that there was little to no arguing between main characters. And, by know means was it boring. I love that it ends with a HEA, no purchasing endless books just to get to the ending. READ THIS BOOK!

Pretty decent read. The sexy scenes were mild but went along with the flow of the relationship. The plot was easy to follow, only occasionally slow, but never to the point were I had or wanted to stop reading.
