Someone has been digging on the Navy sub…and it appears the explosion that almost killed Undine was no accident.

To find the truth, Undine must navigate murky waters and the unexpectedly hot undercurrents swirling between her and Luke. Worse, divers are searching for something lost in US waters during the Cold War, and they’ll do anything to keep Luke and Undine from finding it first.

    Too much gratuitous sex. Had good potential, but why not write a good story without pornography? Whose the targeted audience?

    Romantic suspense is my favourite genre and in my opinion Rachel Grant is one of the best authors out there. I have read all her books and there isn’t a dud among them. Her heroines are smart and sassy, her heroes are strong, heroic but also believable and her books lead you on a journey that will excite and intrigue. She fits in plenty of drama, lots of heat and you never feel cheated by the ending. I can’t recommend any of Rachel Grants books strongly enough if you’re a romantic suspense fan.

    I found the book to be exceptionally entertaining, edge of my seat entertaining. I have all 6 books in this series and every one of them I found suspenseful and nerve-wracking. I love the way she brings in the other characters from the previous books, in my opinion it adds depth to the storyline. Rachel Grant has a unique way of bringing you into the action, with both the character and the environment.

    This sixth book in the evidence series is an interesting and enjoyable read but very far from her best work. Grant retains her signature elements a compelling mix of science, history and characters that show us that smart is sexy. I really wanted to love this book…the underwater archeology, the marine mystery, the fearless brainy female and the former Navy SEAL whose life still revolved around his passion for the sea….but I could only manage a strong like for the end product. Her first three books had sparks of really genius. Those amazing, interconnected characters emerged from the plot. Here something was sorely lacking. The characters were flat. I did not really “get” or even particularly like them. I did not understand what drove the love between the couple. The villain(s) were random…the hidden good/bad guy was cheesy...and the big save in the end did not work. She could have taken a lot out with the same end result because some secret quirky Rachael grant ingredient was missing all along. I received this ARC from the publisher, which in no way impacts the content of my review.
