    And she does it again. Christine Feehan always keeps you wanting more, Shadow Rider is an amazing read. Love the way she envelops you with her characters, her attention to details makes it so your watching from the corner of each scene. Impatiently waiting for book 2 of this series. Congratulations Christine you are sure to see this series become one of your best yet!

    I've read everything Ms. Feehan has published and strongly believe the Carpathian Series trumps all other series in that category. Was very happy to find that her beautifully inventive mind created to new world to explore. So why 4, not 5 stars. Sorry Ms. Feehan! The storyline is great, the new "species" for lack of a better word, original new talents or gifts if you will, awesome. The 4*, the story just didn't seem as fleshed out as much or deeply as I have come to expect in her books. Also, and not being a prude, as I am an F Bomb queen, but oy! The story would have been just as good, if not better with just a third of the bombs presented., as well as the love scenes. Personally I'd have enjoyed less of those two things and more about working in Shadows, or more details about the family history. But. It is a page turner, and as it is a Feehan book, this was read in one setting, hope we can look forward to this becoming a series and finding the backgrounds on some of the other gents. Just so long as it doesn't cut into time writing and publishing more Carpathian novels. If you haven't guessed, this is a stand alone book, if you enjoy storytelling by Day, Kenyon, Ward, Leigh, Cole , and you haven't read Feehan...read this, then check out her other series. You won't regret it.
