Beautiful Pain

I received and ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. Beautiful Pain is an excellent book. It shows us that no matter how broken one is, no matter how closed off or how unloveable one feels, there is someone out there waiting for us. We watch as Mae and Matteo slowly tear down each others walls, and building new ones together. We learn how BDSM can help a certain form of PTSD. I love how you can feel Matteo, feel his energy, his love, and especially his darkness. JM Walker has created a complex yet dark and not at all twisted book, and I hope to see more of Mae and Matteo soon. I highly recommend this book. It will leave you wanting to know more and wanting to rereading the book more than once. You can feel Mae and Matteo's feelings, their sexual attraction, each stroke of the fogger, and especially the love they have for each other.
