Wonderful book— you will love it too

The ensemble cast explores their lives in different directions giving a natural, nonlinear, feel to the story. I like that! I also enjoyed the characters epic adventures growing naturally out of their daily lives.

I was unfamiliar with this author’s work but I was blown away with this omnibus of books 1-3 in The Dragon Blood Collection. This is a “must read”for anyone who loves a good book! If you enjoy fantastic tales with well detailed world building you can actually visualize and characters who you can identify with, I think you will enjoy this book. It is action packed and riveting and hard to put down. And the emotional aspect of the tale is also on display. While you could stop reading the saga with this omnibus collection, in my opinion, it is well worth continuing on with the other books in this series, of which I intend to do right now!

Awesome well told story of a Sorceress and a Soul Blade and their adventures in a new and very much changed world. I think the plot was amazing, the characters well designed and the story line was great, everything a fantasy novel should be. Give this one a try you won’t be disappointed.

I have enjoyed the first three books in this series and am looking forward to more fro this author!

Good balance of action and human feelings. Decent World Building and even some of the slightly far fetched plot lines kept me riveted. I read the first three books voraciously wondering what would happen next

Lindsay by far is one of my favorite authors! Her stories flow so seamlessly and it is easy to get lost in the story as her writing paints pictures in your mind. You can feel as if you are there watching it all happen. Her dialogue has some of the most sincere detail of any author I know and that is a skill to be admired! I hope she survives the zombie apocalypse so we can be sure to have great writing as humanity tries to rebuild!

Wow these are like really good! And I mean that in the best way possible, usually when there are free books they generally aren’t very good, but these books are sooooo good. Like I would pay for these if I had money, and I wouldn’t be disappointed. Unfortunately I can’t give that great of a review as for each individual book because they’re three of them (and it’s like 4 am and I need to pass out), but I think the first book is my favorite because Sardelle (I think that’s spelt correctly) is just sooo freaking cool and the steampunk with the magic was just so interesting, and Ridge is freaking hotter than the sun. I really thought that book was done sooo well, it had outstanding characters with real flaws and mistakes (like Sardelle accidentally talking about magic when it’s practically forbidden). I loved Jexi, as a character in general, and she just played the *perfect* role in the first book. The second book (sorry I don’t remember the names) I liked, it was good, I just felt like the first one was so freaking good, while the second one just fell a little flat in comparison. Don’t get me wrong it is still an amazing book and I’d definitely read again, but when you compare it to the other two, it just wasn’t as great. I liked the characters and I could easily relate to Cas (short gangggg) but in general the book seemed shorter, rushed, and more of a filler book to give the background of Cas and Mek for the third book (and probably the rest of the series that I unfortunately will probably never read because I’m extremely poor but I digress). It felt maybe a little too technology driven instead of building a relationship between Cas and Mek, like it felt more of explaining certain parts of their world rather than focusing on their relationship. I, personally, felt like they went from distrust to kissing in like one page. Again, it was still a really good book and I did enjoy it, but I’m also trying to give honest feed back. The third book I continued to really enjoy. It felt like the first book where everything was still insanely good, (again I still loved all three books), I’m not trying to spoil anything so there’s a lot I won’t discuss, but it was just really good. I thought it was especially interesting to see Mek and Apex’s relationship because I really think they could become bffs if Apex would just hear Mek’s side of the story. Also I totally think (if it’s not done already the author may have already done it) ship between Apex and the flirty officer. Anybody else? Just me? Okay. My only complaint about the last book is that it really sets everything up for the fourth book which is unfortunately not free. *sad face* I feel like there’s so much more to the story like the cult members following Sardelle, Ridge’s dad, Mek’s sister, the dragon, etc, etc. I’m kind of sad that I don’t know what happens, but I’m sure everything turns out happily in the end. I’m not sure if it’s just me, but the third book seemed significantly longer than the other two. I’m not sure if that’s true or if it just felt longer because sooooo much stuffed happened, but it felt like a lot, and there really wasn’t a lot of good stopping points, hence the 4 am thing. I will definitely be looking for more free books from this author, and I totally understand they have to make money, so I don’t fault them for selling them, I just can’t afford to pay for books when I’m an extremely poor college student. Any-who, would recommend this book (three books? collection?) 100000/10.

Scarcely elsewhere would you find a series where the first *three* books are free. The steampunk theme is clear in a subtle way without drowning out other elements of the story, explicit material is either implicit or gently described (thus far), and aside from a few typos, the literature is neither difficult nor sleep-inducing. In all, this is a freebie that any self-respecting reader should — at the very least — try.

The books have kept me entertained and made me laugh out loud. The twists and turns in the plot kept me rivited and my eyes glued to the book to see what happens next. I'm definitely getting ready the rest of the series!
