Emily March has written another great story. The first page caught my attention and I couldn’t stop until the last. I find that when Emily March develops her characters she creates unique personalities that create great emotional connection with the reader.
The heroine Torie is brave, funny, smart, feisty, and misunderstood. The hero, Matt is strong, stubborn, and courageous. The story starts off with Tories running for her life, you feel her fear and determination, and you find yourself hoping for a miracle. Entering the wished for miracle, Matt, who is returning a favor he owes to her father, but it is not to rescue Torie, but her sister.
These characters, as well as others, are well blended together in this storyline. I found myself liking the personalities of all the characters, but I found a soft spot for Les and Gigi. They added spice to the story. You have a rescue, gunshot, stalker and mistaken identity, love and frustration. You will be gripping the edge of your seat one moment and giggling the next. This story will introduce you to a suspense, love and dramatic descriptions that will entertain you from the first page to the very last, it will leaving you waiting for the next.
Stalker at large

Settle in with this thrill ride of an adventure that has non-stop action throughout. From Soledad Island off the coast of South America to Los Angeles and the rolling hills of Brazos Bend, Texas, someone is out to stalk and kill Torie Bradshaw, daughter of a general and twin sister to Helen. Matt Callahan chooses to help her out, along with his brothers Luke and Mark. Torie and Matt’s interactions are explosive and wild. Their feisty bantering causes fireworks between them when they touch. Matt, aka “Double-oh-Jerkface,” “Mr. Smooth,” and “Mr. Silent-and-Sort-of-Snotty” and Torie, aka “That Damned Woman,” “The Evil Twin,” “Bimbo,” “Fluff-headed bimbo,” “Fluff-headed, picture-taking bimbo,” and “Shutterbug” equals excitement. There is murder. There are gun shots, broken bones, explosions, and thrilling boat rides. This stalker is relentless and will stop at nothing to get Torie or anyone else in her path. With the Torie’s photographic Paparazzi skills and Matt’s CIA experience, both are equally relentless in ridding of this maniac. I definitely recommend this book, will backtrack to read Luke’s story, and look forward to Mark’s adventures.
An Epic Romantic Suspense

Fans of Emily March’s Eternity Springs series will LOVE her Brazos Bend books: Luke, Matt & Mark Callahan. Emily creates characters you want to root for and small towns you’ll want to visit again and again. Matt and Torie get off to a rocky start (and that’s putting it mildly) when they first meet so when Torie shows up at Matt’s door with a dangerous stalker hot on her trail, he’s reluctant to help her again. His protective instincts win out, however, and the two set off on an exciting and at times hilarious (try to count the number of nicknames Torie and Matt give each other in the book: “Evil Twin”, “Dr. Delectable” to name a few…) adventure set in the heart of Texas hill country. For those who knew the story under the title GIVE HIM THE SLIP, Emily’s updated and edited the story so that you’ll want to go back and re-experience this story. Don’t miss this epic romantic suspense!
Danger Runs In The Family

I enjoyed this book so much that I stayed up until after 4am to finish!
This is the story of Matt Callahan and Victoria (Torie) Bradshaw. We met Matt's family and explored his hometown of Brazos Bend in the first book of the series. Note that you do not need to read Luke The Callahan Brothers Brazos Bend 1 before starting this one. This is a great stand alone story as well! Of course, I am sure that you will want to read Luke's story once you get a taste of Brazos Bend if you haven't already! ;)
Hopefully none of us will experience the dangerous type of adventure that these two find themselves in. We certainly can relate to their feelings and emotions tho! This is one of Ms. March's gifts to us. She is amazingly talented at capturing and making us feel what her characters do. I found myself laughing and crying with Victoria.
Let us not forget the true stars of the story - Gigi and Paco! You will have to read the story to decide if you are TeamGigi, TeamPaco.. or even TeamKnucklehead from Luke's story! ;)

MATT - The Callahan Brothers
Trouble finds trouble, even when one is not looking for it, or thus seems the case for Torie Bradshaw. Her perchance for ending up in the wrong places stems from her career choice of chasing rumors and photographing dirt of the rich and famous. However, never before has she gotten in so deep, in the jungle that is, running for her life and into the arms of Matt Callahan. Was he the enemy, should she trust him? Needless to say, Matt was thinking similar thoughts. If it had not been for a favor asked, he would have never been in the position to try and calm a she cat. What happened to the meek doctor he was supposed to be rescuing?
Will this job be an easy one, one to stack in piles of the past or one he will regret forever? Read MATT - THE CALLAHAN BROTHERS by Emily March, to find out what happens when the wrong twin finds her way into the life of a Callahan.

Emily March books allow me to step into the book and feel apart of what is going on. The way Torie met Matt had me sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happened next. As Torie goes from one problem to the next she knows she can count on Matt to save her. Even if he is not sure himself if he wants to. I was so into the story I could not put it down until I had it read. I am looking forward to the next book .
