A slightly different romp for my favorite assassin. I enjoyed hooking up with my old friends from previous capers. And although fictional, the sense of life within the Vatican and the information about Leonardo di Vinci filled out a very enjoyable tale.

Compared to previous D. Silva books I found this one to be rather bland, boring and certainly not worth the $18.00 asking price. Publishers and Apple need to reconsider the pricing of their books. At this price I’ll just borrow from my local digital library.

I’ve always enjoyed these books for my summer reading. But! Nothing more boring than a parent who always brags about their kids, except for maybe an author who brags about his protagonist’s kids.

This is his best yet. I was sucked into the story and could hardly put the book down. The ending is perfect and I’m so warmed by the inclusion of his son’s artistic ability. Truly a wonderful story.

Entertaining dialogue between the main character and just about all the other characters, and the story telling kept up the pace, enthralling the reader. Too much politicizing that wasn’t necessary nor did it move the plot along.

Another wonderful book written by Silva. One of the masters of historical fiction.
