This book had a good idea but the author drowned it with fancy words and descriptions of everything that read like it came from someone who is stiff and proper instead of just writing a mystery. The main character was like dry toast. No personality to speak of. Tall? Short? Thin? Not thin? Same with her partner. Like most female detective mysteries, she lost a sister and vows to find her years later for the next book. The only good thing was that the author didn’t make her a rebel and go off to do things on her own and hurt. Not interested in any more books.
