Haven’t read a captivating romantasy like this one in genuinely years. Great world building, insane chemistry, and an interesting take on elemental powers. Dying to read more.
When the Moon Hatched

Typical snarky female protagonist. Raeve felt overall very flat. The most interesting thing about her is the Other and they only show up twice briefly. The writing overexplains. The story drags, lacks an overall sense of direction, and spends way too much time on a racist trope that leads up to a would-be feminist speech about being able to fight for herself and her decision to wed or have kids, just for events to conclude with her getting rescued by a dude fighting another dude to the death for her. Much of the world building is changing words for the sake of changing words.

Passionate, fast paced, heart wrenching. Very well written with a good twist or two along the way especially the epilogue. The audio book version was excellent also. If you liked ACOTAR and Fourth Wing you will love this.

Good read, surprising plot twists. World building was good, but confusing at times. A little forced with the diction. Looking forward to the storyline in the sequel.

First 150 pages are a bit painful- there's little context to the barrage of fantasy words and it's hard to track what's going on. After that it catches a stride and tells a complex story that you can rip through. Looking forward to the next book!

Sarah has an imagination second to none and paints a world like no other. She exercises your mind and emotions in every paragraph. It will be very interesting to see where she takes this story in her next book. Her character building will have you thinking of them and what they themselves might do.
