HAMMER, Volume 4

Stud confronts the Jungle King about his stolen bag and is now in an epic battle over who gets to claim it—and the Kingdom Maps it contains. Our hero Stud is a 14-year-old boy whose father regularly abandons him on expeditions that he catalogs in his own journals. Having to fend for himself, Stud isn’t like most kids—he can turn his hands into hammers! Unfortunately, the kids in the village don’t think it’s cool and don't allow him to join their own fun adventures. Considering that his father has always advised him that friends are the most important accomplishment a person can make, what’s a boy who can turn part of his body into metal to do? Go on his own adventures, of course! When Stud stumbles upon one of his father’s journals detailing his past adventures with Tara, Stud’s mother; our young hero unknowingly makes a wish. Using “wishing coins” after reading a passage about them, Stud gets sucked into the book, and it is at the location of one of his parents’ adventures! In Hammer, Volume 4, having already landed a hit on the Jungle King, Stud boldly asks for his stolen bag back; but once Brutus gets serious, Stud’s fighting chances begin to dwindle. Brutus is determined to keep that bag so he can use the maps to find and exact revenge on the genie who killed his son, whereas Stud is determined to get his bag back because it’s the only link between him and his friends in the Ocean Kingdom. During their arduous battle, Stud’s ally Brymm interrupts and comes to his aid, while Stud wonders whether he’ll be able to return the favor and help Brymm save her kingdom. Will Stud ever get his bag back? Is Stud going to help Brymm in the future? Will the Jungle King ever avenge his son’s death?

New Orleans comic book/ manga artist known as JeyOdin, is the creator and owner of the series "Hammer" which is currently being serialized and published through Saturday AM. JeyOdin attended SCAD where he majored in Sequential Art. Jey's first few publications came out with Antarctic Press, and then through Arch Enemy he was published on USA today. He was also the artist on Lemonade Code, published through OniPress. The pseudonym "JeyOdin" is known online on all social media websites like Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook. JeyOdin loves drawing but is a HUGE fan of spending time with his Wife and two hilariously cute dogs.
