Y Triggers- sex Tropes- Fake Relationship, Friends to Lovers, Dysfunctional Family FTW Note- previously published as Drum Me Away with character and name changes What I liked- the book had great descriptions, especially of the fabulous clothes. And the treehouse was amazing. Sam was cute when he was surprising Holly with kisses and when he took care of her. What I didn’t- Holly was so emotionally stunted and clueless that it was seriously hard to connect with her. I just couldn’t get invested. Sam was great, but Holly didn’t sell the romance. Verdict- this had some good elements, but ultimately, one of the two main characters did not live up to expectations, and the romance fell flat.
