At first I was disappointed that it was not a normal novel. As I started reading, I enjoyed seeing the authors view of what the characters look like. I would have preferred a traditional novel, but I wouldn't let this keep anyone from reading. It is still very interesting.

Loved it but you should really read the series first to understand it.
