USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR
First book in the Death by Chocolate series
Lindsay Powell's only secret is the recipe for her chocolate chip cookies, but she is surrounded by neighbors with deadly secrets. Suddenly Lindsay finds herself battling poisoned chocolate, a dead man who doesn't seem very dead and a psycho stalker.

Her best friend and co-worker, Paula, dyes her blond hair brown, hides from everybody and insists on always having an emergency exit from any room. Secrets from Paula's past have come back to put lives in jeopardy.

Determined to help Paula and save her own life, Lindsay enlists the reluctant aid of another neighbor, Fred, an OCD computer nerd. In spite of his mundane existence, Fred possesses tidbits of knowledge about such things as hidden microphones, guns and the inside of maximum security prisons.

Lindsay needs more than a chocolate fix to survive all this chaos.

I love the amount of drama because i’m that type of person that loves an extreme amount of it plus i’m a baker myself and i love the character of lindsay, i can’t really spell it right. I think that there are parts that are hard to follow along though, The story has so many parts that makes this book hard to read without going back to a different page altogether and i hate when books do that because i lose my spot in books really easily. But i love it nonetheless, i hope the other books are as good as that one but i’m able to follow along with it.

It’s mostly good. It took a while to get into it for me but I think that is actually because I didn’t know what their style is. I felt it took longer to establish everything than I had wanted. But once all the explanations were over, it stayed my attention.

Cute, predictable. Not a lot of substance. Recipes at the end were a nice touch. Also, as book 1 a lot of stage had to be set. That said unlikely to go for #2.

I loved this book. It was cute, had lots of chocolate (which is always a good thing), and had a hero cat! What else could you ask for?

Fun story. Surprised at the number of recipes. Too bad I don’t bake. Just a reader.

I loved this book! Fun read. I would put it in the category of the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. I already read the next book and can’t wait to keep going!

I didn’t believe the main character’s inability to prevent her almost ex-husband from intruding in her life. Anyone hear of RESTRAINING ORDER!! Or, how about a little more starch in her backbone! The rest of the story made more sense than her love life, and that’s stretching it a lot. I read the first chapter of the next book in the series, and decided I didn’t want to continue with the series.
